The mission of ICCO & Kerk in Actie is to work towards a world where poverty and injustice are no longer present. The work of ICCO & Kerk in Actie consists of giving support to activities which stimulate and enable people, in their own way, to organize dignified housing and living conditions. ICCO adopted the rights-based approach as an overarching concept of its policy and formulated three main policy themes: Democratisation & Peacebuilding (D&P), Access to Basic Services (ABS) and Fair Economic Development (FED). In each country, ICCO & Kerk in Actie prioritized one policy theme, thus improving focus and coherence in the country programmes.
